Finally got around to trying this place and was Not Disappointed! Cozy atmosphere inside with great service. The calamari appetizer was plentiful and delicious. The wife and I tried two different Red Snapper entrees and both were delicious. VERYspicy...almost too spicy! Take a heartburn pill! lol. Couldn't finish them and had to bring them home for later????. I hadSautéed Filet of Snapper Bayou Teche...it had oysters and crabmeat on top with chili butter. SUPER Spicy! Wife had SautéedFilet of Snapper Opelousas...it had shrimp, crabmeat, and crawfish in top in spicy Alfredo sauce. Not as Spicy and Verytasty. Wine selection was nice and we had a couple glasses of Sweet Reds. Overall, we spent a little over $100 and loved it! ??
The Red Snapper does not disappoint. It's been 3 years since our last visit and it was just as delicious as we remembered. Dined in one night and did a to-go order two days later. The seafood is well prepared whether you prefer grilled, fried or any of theother options. The Greek salad is one of the best I've had. Friendly, casual atmosphere with good service. Nice wine selection. We've never had room to try anything on the dessert menu. Maybe next time!
This place looks small on the outside. But huge and nice on the inside. The food is great! I had the Snapper with spaghetti! ????No complaints.
You know, I want to like this place more. It was my dad and stepmom 's place and she loves it. The last couple of times I 've been, though, it 's just not good. The latest trip, this week, was bad. My shrimp tasted strongly of chlorine-y city water, as did my wife 's. The gumbo was not gumbo, but a thick soup that tasted like green peppers and I-don 't-know-what. My kid 's Alfredo was mid at best. The bread was good. As for service, we waited a lot. For the server to take our order; for our check; for plates to be cleared; for everything. And for this bad food/bad service experience, we paid over $150 for dinner for four.
