Smokey's Bbq - Surf City

Steve, the owner, has a party for a group of 30 hungry guys. And it was amazing. Brisket was incredible, fell apart in the mouth, pulled pork was moist, juicy and tasty, and the ribs?! No words. Not to mention Mac, Beans, Cornbread and Pages. Absolutely recommended for some of the best bbq in the known universe.

Everything is amazing. The pulled pig, brisket, ribs? The Mac n cheese is heavenly.

Smokey?s was absolutely fantastic! As a smoker/bbq fanatic on holiday away from my Traeger Ironwood I got the Itch and Smokey?s was the scratch I needed. Ribs were dropped from the bone and seasoned masterfully, the brisket melted in my mouth and sides I got (Mac and cheese and potato salad) were on point. Definitely recommend to anyone who bbq or just good food in general. The staff was also very nice.

I had great hopes in this place. We ordered takeout for kielbasa and pulled pork. The kielbasa came in slices cut, not quite, as pictured and looked like she was restored. The texture in the middle was a little more sponge than one would expect from kielbasa while the skin was folded. And some pieces had a color on it (which we did not eat). The pulled pig didn't have much season and was very fat. The side sauce also tasted with her. On the plus side the sides were delicious. Maybe it's a night for the meat? But either we won't be back to find out.

We went to Smokey's for the first time today to get some BBQ take out. We ordered 3 platters, which was nearly $80 plus we left a tip, and unfortunately we arrived home and found out weren't given all the food we ordered and paid for, half of it was missing, there were 3 of us and none of us got a complete meal that we ordered which was right from the menu no extras. What we did get was tasty but it was far too expensive to get ripped off like that. We will not be going back.
