SURF BEACH Chinese is by far the worst Chinese food we've ever had. Our first experience was mediocre, with a long wait. We decided to give it another try, but it was even worse. Tonight, we thought we’d give it one more chance, but I can confidently say I will never return. We ordered two appetizers, fried rice, and deep-fried beef. A lovely local restaurant. Food was delicious and fresh one of the best Chinese meals we have had for ages. We couldn’t have been more pleased with what we ordered and will definitely order again.
The decor is straight out of the 1980’s, the toilet is literally “out the back”, there’s 2 refrigerators in the dinning area, the orders were brought out in a random order and mixed with the table next to us but the food was deadset second to none! And isn’t that what you want from a local Chinese takeaway in a small town? Every town has one and this was one of the best! A must see for any traveller
First review of this outstanding restaurant. Special fried rice is to die for and I've had as a meal by itself, salt and pepper chicken last Friday that I thought they could not beat but tonight I tried the lemon chicken, suggested by the cook , and wow. Couldn't get through half the meal or the rice. Highly recommended and was less than a packet of cigarettes, bonus two serves as well. Cheers guys.
1st time was ordinary. 2nd time was great. Entrees were average but super tasty mains made up for that 3rd time equally great Have to give a huge shout out to the young man working there young but so professional , well spoken, friendly and always asks how your meal was. He's a great example of how young kids should be at work. Recommended dishes ; Mongolian chicken Mongolian beef Combination omelette Decent prices and $12 lunch specials. And they actually answer their phones unlike some other restaurants in the area
Surf Beach Chinese is the worst Chinese that we have ever eaten, 1st time was very ordinary and lengthy wait, 2 nd time we thought give them another go, it was terrible, so tonight we thought give them 1 more go never ever ever will I step foot in the door again. We ordered 2 entree , fried rice and deep fried beef. The only thing we could eat 1 entree the rice was so bland and not even fried now let me tell you about the beef, it was that bad the dogs would eat it. I would recommend the Golden Dragon in town 100
