Sasuma - Sūrat

This place is a must visit and I would include it in my itinerary even if I had only one day to spend at surat. The thali is superb and gives one a taste of some exquisite yet traditional Gujarati cuisine. The place has a vibrant and energetic feel to it especially when all the tables are full, which is generally the case. It gives a flavour of the variety of food items Surat is famous for. I'm definitely taking everyone who visits me in Surat here. At 260 rupees, it's an amazing buffet! Loved it! ????

Visited this place with family after many years. The quality of food has gone down substantially and service is quite slow on a weekday as well.

On our regular trips to Surat we happened to stop by "Sasuma" since I had this very good image of "Sasuji" at Ahmedabad (I thought they might be coming from the same family :P) The ambience is fine, neat and clean. The food is nothing special which leaves you with that USP taste to make you visit this place again..!!! Some of the items I liked was Chaash, Aam Rass (in any form would do for me) thats it..!!! This one of the craziest thaalis I've had with unlimited dishes served only for ₹299! 2-3 sweet dishes, 3 types of breads, 7 main dishes including sweet n spicy daal, 2 portion of vegetable gravies, paneer n saag. Chaaas too is served with the thaali n a few snackables Vfm-4.5/5 Taste- 3.5/5
