A great dining choice near the Vejalpor area. The food had good quality and generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the masala dosa and the coconut chutney at this budget-friendly restaurant. However, there is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and purity. View all feedback.
What Nitika Bhatt doesn't like about Hotel Udipi:
Situated near the train station, this restaurant serves South Indian cuisine. It is likely one of the city's oldest restaurants. The food is high quality and tasty, with a traditional touch. They offer a mix of fusion dishes at reasonable prices, incorporating typical South Indian flavors. The service is quick, making it a convenient stop for a fast meal. View all feedback.
Safe place to eat south indian food ... you get good coffee also it is nearly opposite Arunoday hotel
You can expect routine south indian food here. Dosa, Idli , Medu wada, Upma. Although they serve other cuisines as well but since we mostly visit for breakfast and snacks we go for South Indian cuisine. The food is authentic and the chutney and sambhar are very good. Its very light on the pocket as well. If you are looking for a quick bite which is also wallet friendly I think this is the place to eat.
We are regular visitors at Navsari and eat at least one meal in Udipi. The Dosas are crisp ,Idlis are hot and Vadas also crisp. The sambar and chutney are authentic South Indian in taste else in Gujarat one cannot generally get very authentic tasting sambhar and chutney. The service is quick and efficient . It is a typical south indian hotel ,the decor will be familiar and comforting to regular visitors of south indian hotels in Mumbai. The tables are closely spaced with bench type padded seats and worn tables. They also serve Punjabi food but we have not dared to try it . Many locals come for takeaway and also for lunches and dinners and we have observed them eating Punjabi cuisine too .There is no parking you just find a spot on the road but it is a main road very close to station so parking may be difficult in peak hours. All in all it is a reliable place for breakast or snacks .

Located near the train station, this medium-sized restaurant offers delicious South Indian cuisine without any frills. The food is not overly modified like in other restaurants, ensuring that dishes like dosas are crispy and the sambar has a hint of authentic sweetness. The menu includes traditional South Indian dishes such as idli, vada, and dosa, all at affordable prices. The service is quick and the food quality is top-notch. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for those looking for delicious South Indian food.
