This was by far the worst dining experience I've had in years! I have been a patron of this restaurant since it first opened. Today, we came for the Mother's Day brunch and waited over an hour and a half to receive our food after ordering. The quality of the food was subpar compared to other restaurants in the area. The service could definitely use some improvement. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment, as I used to enjoy the upscale dining experience it offered. It's a shame that the standards have gone down.

Eating out of a box was definitely not what I had in mind.
I attended the Passover meal at Beth Yeshua on Good Friday. It was the only place I had been in months as I was recovering from two major operations. Unfortunately, on Easter Sunday, I tested positive for Covid-19. I promptly notified both Beth Yeshua and Barkers Island Inn. While Beth Yeshua was understandably concerned, Barkers Island seemed unconcerned when I called them. We are still in the midst of a deadly pandemic, and despite being vaccinated and receiving my booster shot, I still contracted Covid-19, likely from the Passover meal. I was disappointed in Barkers Island Resort for their lack of care for their guests and employees. The inn itself is beautiful and the food at the meal was fantastic, but the lack of concern for safety protocols was concerning. The banquet hall should have been sanitized immediately as Covid-19 is a highly contagious airborne disease that has claimed many lives. I have been very ill since contracting the virus, but thankfully, I am able to quarantine at home with the help of oxygen and antiviral medication. It is important for everyone to take responsibility in stopping the spread of the virus. I immediately informed Barkers Island of my positive test, but the person who took my call did not seem to care or inform their superiors. This irresponsible behavior in the midst of a global pandemic is unacceptable.
The outdoor terrace is one of the best settings they find everywhere. eating is always top notch. very recommended to try the place.
On Oct 30th, the Lake Superior Chapter of BNI held their annual banquet at Barkers Island in Superior Wi. It definingly was a fun event and the meeting room was an excellent place. The staff did a great job accommodating our group with the food and beverages that were served. D.N. DeMaris
