A lot of construction was underway when we were there, but look forward to seeing how the place looks when everything is done. Looks like it's getting a new facial lift! The staff was very nice. The rooms were decent. At least bring me a place to put my head. Large pool area and the kids seemed to enjoy. Restaurant wasn't good either. Your fish and chips were delicious. Great place to stay if you want to visit the Du... View all feedback.
What Luz Ebert doesn't like about Barkers Island Inn Resort Conference Center:
Stayed for 2 nights in room 154 attended a conference. Very lovely location, check in was flawless. Pool looked nice, but I didn’t use it. My room had 2 double beds which were comfortable. TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Operating the shower was a little learning curve. Heating/AC was also a little “off”, blew “hot” then “cold”. Not sure what the temperature was on the thermostat. Food served at conference... View all feedback.
Our FIRST visit was a SUCCESS!!!! All about this hotel we read about online is TRUE! Great location, amenities, staff, dining options, the Continental breakfast! When booking, I mentioned our first wedding approaching. We entered our water view room and found some chilled champagne, glasses and LOVELY map with a handwriting! How generous and friendly! The pool, hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus! Some parking construction had happened and yet, we were sure, parking was sufficient and that will be all done and soon! Thanks, Barker's Inn! Seeya again!
Ordered her specialty in the restaurant and despite not much of a fish eater I would order it again! 10/10 best fish I ever had. WARMED POOL, whirlpool and an even hot sauna! Can't go wrong, a bathroom in one of them. At the end of the night, a few darts threw into the bar. The shower in the room is somewhat shorter than the average person. So a light team was required. And the breakfast was very disappointing.
I get that it’s tough to find workers right now, but how hard is it when you come into a room to make the bed it isn't so hard to dust and vacuum. The room was not very clean, just dusty, and needed a vacuum. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to yours. Everything. They give you these soaps they call facial soaps in the bathroom which I guess is the hand soap you are supposed to use as well. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for $164.

Great place to stay if you want to visit the Duluth area and avoid the prices and traffic of the city center. Very easy and quick ride to downtown Duluth. There was also a beautiful small beach on the street. I recommend and will probably stay here again!
