Fish Station - Sunshine West

This is the kind of Fish and Chip place I remember as a kid.

Just off from Deer Park's Ballarat Road restaurant district lies this hidden gem of a Fish and Chips shop. Don't confuse this with the Deer Park Fish and Chips shop, itself a pretty good restaurant. In comparing the two, this one is definitely Aussie, and a bit blokey too, and the fish is very, very good. It does lack a bit of the service of the other Fish and Chips shop, on Ballarat Road, but it still has some pretty nice fish and it is overall pretty good if you are in the area. It happens to be right next to a bus stop, so is pretty handy while waiting for the bus to Watergardens.

This restaurant serves delicious traditional fish and chips that remind me of my childhood! The takeout burger and fish and chips were both tasty. The staff is nice and friendly.

Praise the Fish Station! This is undoubtedly the best fish and chip shop in the west - actually, in all of Melbourne. The service is exceptional, the food is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I have never had better food in all my years. If you have anything negative to say about this place, you clearly haven't experienced it for yourself. If you believe there is a better option out there, then go there and leave this gem to those who truly appreciate it. Well done, Fish Station - you are a heavenly business.
