This place is my favourite for lunch. The place is always busy. Must try dishes are Beef Randang and fried rice. Chicken laksa is another one. Remember this place is cash only so don't forget to carry cash. A must try place for lunch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chef Lagenda:
It's not too bad, but the food is inconsistent. Each time we eat here, the same menu is cooked and served differently. The lemon chicken was so dry.The beef randang was really good though. The spring rolls are good. The place is always full and noisy. They forgot to serve our rice and we had to follow up after a long wait. This restaurant serves authentic Malaysian cuisine! I often come to Chef Lagenda for their delicious stir-fried combination noodles or Hainanese chicken rice. I love the authentic flavors, especially the charred flavors in the combination noodles. The food here is absolutely delicious, and the staff are friendly, making it a great dining experience overall.
The most delicious SEAFOOD CURRY LAKSA I’ve ever had .. the only complaint is that their paper based Take Away containers don’t hold up. We had a bag full of curry juice which leaked from the containers when we arrived home) :
Awesome place if ur looking for a cheap fast eat food is very will priced and very fast service the only bad thing is waiting to get a table if you don't book.
It's no surprise that this restaurant is always busy! The food is authentically made, served quickly, and reasonably priced. My favorite option is the Lunch meal deal, which is perfect for those on a budget.
I was hoping this would be more authentically Malaysian, having lived there for 7 years and married a local. I guess they change things a bit for the Aussie palate, but overall very good. The laksa soup was wonderful, but missing tofu and more ngar Choy (bean shoots) which would have made it perfect. The roti canai was flat and not as flakey as it should have been. The sambal vegetables was wonderful and here they didn't hold back, even including smelly beans (Petai) which many westerners may wonder about. I know this sounds critical but having had the best this just falls a tad short for authenticity.
