Was Diane Brown at Captain Jack's a mag?
A classic that still holds up after all these years! The service is quick and efficient, with plenty of staff attending to each table. The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. I highly recommend the crab legs paired with filet mignon, along with the house blue cheese salad and baked potato—truly a timeless combination! View all feedback.

What Susan Bartoletti dislikes about Captain Jack's:
The bread had very little taste (the brown bread that they serve at The Cheesecake Factory is much better! . Their homemade Caesar dressing was watery and bland, the clams in the linguine clams were so bad that I had to spit it out. Service was spotty and the server was not knowledgeable about the small menu that they have. This is a place that has seen better days (since it has been there since 1967 I think and it i... Great Food, Quality, Friendly staff, Very Attentive, Market Price Seafood so it is roughly $95+ a plate, but it is totally worth it. I will be back, they have not changed in 10+ years in my personal experience and my family for 56 years and soon will bethere 57th anniversary. Don't let this Gem of a restaurant go away, please try it and you will know its worth keeping this placein business for generations to come. I'll definitely keep coming back. Reservations Recommended for sure, and there is a smallbar where you can sit and drink while you wait, but it is on. Separate check from your tables bill. ????

Expensive but excellent.. went for our wedding anniversary, so it was a special occasion. First, drinks in the bar. $14.75 for a very small martini smirnoff) Their service model as a team is very efficient and very personalized. As the staff addressed usmy last name. The bread was hot, fresh and delicious with real better. So impressed by my own serving of butter separate from myhusband 's. The salad was a large serving. Comprised of various, fresh vegetables and restaurant made dressing. The side of ricehad no flavor, very under seasoned. I ordered the crab legs $110.00), perfectly prepared. So plentiful I took half the 20 ozhome. They gave a complimentary cheesecake to go, which was very nice. Love the old school atmosphere. I recommend for a specialoccasion as it is pricey.

I discovered Captain Jack's while searching for Sunset Beach and decided to give it a try. This place has been around for a long time, with the same chef at the helm for 52 years, which speaks volumes about their consistency. The ambiance was fantastic and inviting. Although we weren't very hungry and didn’t order much, the food we tried was expertly prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A unique perk is that you can dock your boat right by the restaurant, making it convenient for boaters. It seems to get quite busy during dinner hours, but since we arrived late, it was pleasantly uncrowded. Despite the website mentioning a two-week wait for reservations, we were able to walk in without any trouble. Overall, Captain Jack's is a great spot with a diverse menu, and I would definitely recommend it.

Captain Jack's is an adventure from beginning to end. When we arrived, we were greeted and informed there would be a half-hour wait, with the option to wait in the lounge. It seemed a bit unusual, but we settled into a comfortable seating area to the left of the entrance and enjoyed live music performed by an older gentleman who played piano, harmonica, and sang. He was incredibly talented. While there, they took our drink and appetizer orders. The half-hour flew by, and when it was time, we were escorted to our table in almost a celebrity-like fashion, with staff stopping to let us pass and warmly greeting us. We were seated at a small, candlelit table for two, adorned with fresh flowers, where we ordered two servings of king crab. There were no prices listed or mentioned beforehand, which made me a little apprehensive, but the crab was absolutely outstanding. The salads, quesadilla, and bread were equally delicious, washing away any concerns about the cost. Our bill came to $280, which honestly I expected to be higher, but it was worth every penny. The service, food, and entertainment were all exceptional. I’ll definitely be coming back—and next time, I’ll bring new family and friends so they can enjoy the experience too.
