Sbarro - Sunrise
Sbarro
Description
Sbarro delivers a mixed dining experience. While some appreciate the quick service, tempting Stromboli loaded with pepperoni, and the convenience of food court dining, others find the prices steep and portions overly greasy or excessive. Cleanliness is generally noted but occasionally questioned. Customer service and order accuracy often fall short, with several guests expressing frustration over poor handling and incorrect items. The quality varies significantly by location, leading to disappointment compared to expectations from traditional Italian pizza. Overall, Sbarro suits casual cravings but may struggle to impress those seeking consistent quality and value.

I always enjoy Mark's reviews and have probably marked all of them as helpful, even those I might not fully agree with—his content is just that good. I was craving pizza and remembered his post, so I decided to give it a try. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, I saw the Pepperoni Stromboli with cheese, and it looked so tempting that I opted for that instead, and I'm really glad I did. It cost $4.99, and a soda was $1.99. That stromboli must have had at least a quarter of a pound of pepperoni or more. I have to admit it was a bit greasy, but then again, what pepperoni isn’t? They claim to make their own spice blend; I'm not sure if that’s true, but I can tell you it was delicious. We went just an hour or so ago, the day after Christmas, and since we arrived early, parking was a breeze. The service was very quick, as is often the case in food courts. While I don't agree with Mark about it being on the expensive side, he still writes excellent reviews, so he has my approval as always. Mark, you should definitely try the Stromboli—you won't regret it. As for the atmosphere, it’s a great place for people-watching.
I enjoy the pizza from this chain, and my youngest child does too. The mall was quite empty, so we didn’t have to wait in line. In fact, getting a slice here was quicker than my wife’s experience ordering a sub from Charley’s across the food court. However, at nearly $3.50 per slice, it's getting close to my limit for what I believe is a fair price for a single slice.
I visited this restaurant for lunch while shopping at Sawgrass Mills Outlets and came away quite disappointed. I ordered two lasagnas and one drink, and my total came to $32 before taxes and tip. When I asked if the lasagna included at least a slice of bread or something similar, I was informed that everything else cost extra. This pricing seems absurd and excessive for such a small portion of lasagna. The size just doesn’t justify the cost. Although the staff was friendly, the overall value just isn’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a decent lunch.
Absolute disappointment. Using Doordash, I ordered a whole square pepperoni pie. I got a slice of pepperoni w/sausage. I ordered the spaghetti w/chicken parm for my mother. She said it tasted undercooked. Why is there so much water in the bag?I know, especially coming from the Bronx's Little Italy, Sbarro's is not nearly a top 100 pizza spot compared to most other pizza places but not this bad. It's been a while. I thought I'd give it a chance. Maybe this Sbarro's might be different. It's worse. What a garbage franchise state to state. The only place Sbarro's has anything worth mentioning is the one in St Thomas, VI. Their effort is far superior to any Sbarro's I've been in.
