This is a great bar with a view of the lake. The beer is cold and reasonably priced. The bartender was friendly and chatty. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed so we weren't able to order dinner. It's a perfect spot to stop by and enjoy a few cold drinks! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hoot N Boopers:
Unfortunately, we did not try the food so we cannot provide a rating on that. The bartender was friendly, but unfortunately was not knowledgeable about the fake slot machines in the restaurant. It was surprising to see fake slot machines in a restaurant. We ended up spending $60 and only had two drinks, which was not worth it. We will not be returning due to the high prices and feeling like we wasted our money. View all feedback.
Food was amazing....service was HORRIBLE. Had to get up and get our own salt and pepper from the bar....server came to drop our food at table and ignored our empty cups ...I'd suggest carry-out
Got a meal to go and they did not have plastic forks or spoons.
We visited this restaurant last night for some drinks and to play keno at the seahouse. The bartender was friendly, but seemed more interested in the slot machines. After not having much luck with keno, we decided to try our hand at the slot machines. Unfortunately, we quickly realized that the machines weren't paying out, as we lost $40 without winning anything significant. We won't be returning to this place, as it seems like the jackpot is fake and not worth the investment.

This small, charming dive is locally owned. It's worth supporting as they put in a lot of effort, but it seems like they're having a tough time. They serve good tacos, but they could use a standout signature menu item. Perhaps they could differentiate themselves by being the only bar in Zarks that offers craft beer? Currently, no one in Zarks does. It would be great to see them host trivia nights, ladies nights, or rancher nights. They could also attract customers by featuring local musicians or hosting live radio broadcasts. Overall, they have potential to be unique and successful with some creative ideas.
