First: In and can smell the ingenious smell smoke. I had the ribs and pulled pork with garlic parmesan pommes. The bands where brilliant, the pulled pig was okay. The garlic cloves were the best I ever had....BAR NONE. I didn't think I had the best garlic friries in Santa Clara California. If you like garlic, you will love them. Overall a beautiful decent place with great food View all feedback.
Wow if your in Santa Clara and don't stop here at least once your sure missing out. They do some of the best BBQ in Northern California. It's been about three years between my two visits and not much has changed in that time and it's just as good as my first visit. The burnt ends and brisket where super tasty, the ribs could have been in for a little longer as they where a little too under for me but they still tasted great. If you want real good BBQ you need to try this place.
Great barbecue area, beautiful interior design. Great food. Great staff. We go there every month or so, it disappoints never cleanliness: very clean Menu Diversity: a lot of grill / burger to choose Price: Great for the food Seats: Interior Stands and tables External tables Noise level: not according to waiting time: very low

It 's okay. I grew up in Texas so I 'm a bit pickier about BBQ. I 've tried several other BBQ places in the south Bay and this one is probably one of your better options. I went for a small brisket plate. It 's a bit pricey, but all BBQ in the Bay is pricey, so it 's nothing unusual. The brisket came in a sort of shredded pile instead of slices, along with my side of onion rings and a cup of sauce, all on a kind of strange, too- fancy plate. The plate 's kinda large so it made the portion size feel ... kinda small. Yeah, I 'm being nit-picky, but it did feel pretty weird. Just serve it on paper in a red plastic basket, what is this black rectangular plate thing? That being said, the meat itself was actually decent, and the sauce was quite tasty. The onion rings were good as well. I think the biggest thing I wished this place had were fixin 's: self-service things like pico de gallo, onions, and pickles. There was none of that, and the small plate also didn 't come with anything else I didn 't already mention I felt like I was missing a piece of bread or something . The vibe of the place itself was more or less correct picnic tablecloths, etc and it was pretty spacious and clean. Overall I 'd probably give this place closer to 3 stars, but given it 's one of the few BBQ places in the Bay that hasn 't outright made me feel disappointed I think it 's good enough to merit 4.
Excellent BBQ place in the South Bay area. If delicious food coma is your desire, go to Armadillo Willy's and order anything on their menu. The portions and variety are old-fashioned good and the service is on the higher level than most places nowadays. Go there hungry!
