It can be really hard to find a place in the mad country where you can eat with your family and everyone. even opa, which always eats carving. is happy at the end of the day. the personal was really nice and the vegan eating was amazing!

The Landgasthof Steinberg was recommended to us by acquaintances as something special. But the very wide approach for us has paid off in a special way.

Amidst the wild meadow! And the hamlet is really that! Another stage on the Sauerland high altitude flight led us from Wenholthausen to the same wild meadow, and there to the Naturhotel Wildewiese. In the middle of the nature park and over the top of the Homert, a stage in our accommodation, which was very sunny, led us to a very exhausting stage. From afar, the Schombergturm welcomed us. The hotel is located in a small ski resort very picturesque in a valley boiler, only one road comes from west to the hamlet, we hiked through mountain meadows from east to our destination. From above we saw our hotel, newly built guest house, the guest house itself, a ski hut on the slope, as well as horse stables for carriage rides offered by the house. The company is very rainy in its offer, and the visitor numbers, day and overnight guests are correspondingly larger. We turned to the reception in the new guest house and checked in. We had a room in the middle category and were therefore accommodated in the same guest house. The simpler rooms are in the old inn and there are suites in the guest house. A first very positive surprise the beautifully decorated rooms, which are determined throughout by massive, only oiled oak at the furniture. The establishment was particularly good for my wife. A ski run stay is already in planning. The HP gives a nice impression of the rooms. Here again a completely new, very stylish bathroom area, woman was very impressed! And because woman was so much done and was waiting for herself, I looked out of our window on the restaurant area in the old building: In front of the entrance a large beer garden outside area in which the sun appeared. I read my wife alone in the room, I was thirsty! I quickly stood in front of the beer garden: From there you can look at the inn: When booking we had already booked a place in the restaurant with and the very friendly and well-launched ladies in the service had the very good weather taken as an occasion to reserve a table outside for the food. Fine, if you're so worried and you'll see the wish of the gate. The kitchen is also very seasonal and regionally oriented here, perhaps somewhat more extensive and demanding than in the evening before in Wenholthausen near Seemer, it can be seen on the homepage. I first ordered a big beer and extinguished my thirst until my wife arrived at the table. Together we studied the maps. Right fast a selection was made and ordered. The kitchen greeted us with a potato buffer and applemus, so it must be on the land for the hiker. That evening there was the offer of a flat rate potato buffer food and we came to the nearby enjoyment of one of my childhood favourite dishes! Forward for my Red Beete Carpaccio with truffle oil, lime juice, fresh green and roasted land bread on request with Parmesanhobel that now looked very delicious after the simple kitchen! From the other side of the table, I didn't take a suit! And my probie bite revealed boiled, cold beds with earthy basic taste, on finest supplements of oil and lime juice! My starter choice was Muuh in the green meant Sauerländer fresh cheese from the abbey Königsmünster in the bacon fried on garden salads with Sauerkirsch-Balsamico Vinaigrette I said after consumption not Muuh, but Jam! ****! This dish is now a classic on all kinds of restaurant cards, and I like the combination exceptionally. The fresh cheese was very gentle, probably a cow's milk cheese, but I didn't ask. It's a big bacon. At the bottom of it is a tasty fresh salad with a well tasted fruity vinaigrette. For and both a good start to dinner. At the main course, it should be fish for my wife. Filet from the brooksaiblings from the Lennetal on vegetable herbal noodles I didn't try, but my wife was very fond of the court and also olfactorily there was a positive picture of the court. For me what seasonal: roasted asparagus with rocket, pork fillet, tomatoes, new potatoes and a nut full grain Hollandaise Optisch and for my nose it was already appealing. Interesting the look of the sauce Hollandaise, which was certainly homemade, so you can hardly buy! that looked like a mustard sauce. But a fork sample showed that there was certainly a lot of butter in the game. Together with the nuts the determining aroma. Extremely delicious the vegetables, ruccola and tomatoes. Very interesting the asparagus apparently fried in caramelized sugar. The two fillet pieces were well roasted without a tadel, juicy, slightly pink inside. A very tasty dish. Dessert also went, that's the nice walking, you feed a lot of calories without a bad conscience! For my wife, a glass dessert with an espresso. There are always a few variants of quark dishes in small glass from the kitchen. My wife chose raspberries. For me an ice cream, vanilla ice cream with Wasabinus crust The disturbing chocolate stick was quickly disposed of, then I looked at the vanilla ice cream ball served on a raspberry sauce mirror. I was irritating the sweet-sharf combination. And I was very well served, even if the crumb wasabi could have been even sharper. Also for me a good espresso and we had a very nice dinner behind us. Another extreme surprise was our choice of wine. We had ordered a Riesling VDP filling dry from the Weingut Kühlunging- Gillot in Rheinhessen for EUR 24,00 the bottle. Described in the map as a juicy fresh Riesling with lively acidity, fine pineapple and apricot fruit, delicate shale aroma. So we reckoned with a very young, good-fashioned noise. Then the operation came and presented us this bottle: I had only looked at the surface of the bottle and took a sample swallow. And shocked I threw a clearer look at the label! 2011! The Riesling was six years old and had nothing of a young fresh Riesling. My wife is not a lover of young fresh Rieslings and had already a little oppressed against my choice, but when she heard from me that goes in your direction, her trains were brightened. This base wine had survived the storage excellently. A great minerality combined with a clear residual sweetness had replaced the fresh acid, which was only very discreet to perceive in the background. Very, very fine, so fine that there were two bottles this evening! I love ripe white of such quality! And here at this price! The operation revealed that one was not aware of what was in the cellar. I advised the service to indicate at least the vintage, because this wine is certainly not what they had in mind when ordering! So for the service at our stay, from the hotel to the inn until breakfast we had a lot of pleasure in the unprecedented female service! Engagement, knowledge and friendliness made us happy. A very lukewarm May evening 2017 ended later in the already described room, and we spent a very quiet night with opened windows. Just as loving as in the evening, breakfast was also prepared the next morning. Lucky about our hotel decision we went to the next stage. Summary of the Naturhotel Wildewiese: we will be back! This is already in planning! That's all I need to say about staying.
