Toby Carvery - Sunderland

Steve and Brand were incredibly pleasant and prepared the best carvery dish I have ever had. I was so full after eating 2/3 of my king-sized plate, while my friend finished his even larger plate. I could barely move, but thankfully I was wearing a stretchable dress. Jordanne even packed me some rice pudding to take home, as I was too full to eat it there. It turns out they had vegan rice pudding, one of my favorite desserts that I haven't been able to enjoy in years due to my lactose intolerance. The staff really went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10.

I always love the carvery, but hadn't been in a while, so I decided to celebrate losing my first stone in weight by coming here. I had amazing turkey and roast meat with delicious sides, and the two puddings were the best I've ever had! I was so full but couldn't resist trying everything. The staff were lovely and I can't wait to come back when I lose my next stone. Absolutely wonderful experience.

I have been to many Toby Carveries, but this one was the best. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the gammon was perfectly seasoned. The dessert was scrumptious and refreshing. The food was served hot. I will definitely be returning soon. Our server Sandra was lovely and ensured we had everything we needed.

Excellent service, good food, large section. I was traveling with 4 very good friends, so the atmosphere was brilliant. so nice to see people again and we wouldn't have picked up any better.

I was in a few filials by toby carvery and this one that is just a short walk from barnes park is both vegan friendly and welcoming. Of course it is a carvery so expect to see or smell meat, but there is a separate veggie / vegan menu with new supplements including lasagne, a beyond burger and chili. at this opportunity I ordered the mushroom and the ale-Pie with veg, that is my favorite dish and it was delicious. all veg is now butter free except the maische and where specified. the personal informs them when they order and if not only ask. also no cross-contamination. good place to go with vegan or carnivores.
