Paul's Golden Chippy - Sunderland

The food was delicious, but the delivery service was terrible. The first delivery arrived in taxis because the car broke down. The second delivery was late because the food was dropped on the floor. I thought the third time would be lucky, but it took one hour and 30 minutes to arrive. This was our last chance as every time it took over 90 minutes to deliver.

We always visit this place for their delicious fish and chips. The food is always excellent, whether we order pizzas, kebabs, or any other dish. Highly recommend!

I love the food from Paul's, but I usually prefer to dine in rather than get delivery. Tonight, I ordered a naan kebab wrap with chips, which my daughter loved. I also ordered a 12" thin crust hot and spicy pizza with extra garlic, but when the delivery arrived, it was a cheesy garlic bread with no garlic and not the pizza I had ordered. After calling the restaurant, they sent out a replacement, but it was not the correct pizza and was cold and dry. I paid £16.60 for the kebab wrap and pizza, and the delivery was late. I am disappointed with the substandard food and hope to get some resolution from the restaurant. Overall, I have enjoyed the food from Paul's in the past, but this experience was a letdown. I will only pay with cash on delivery in the future to ensure the quality of the food.

Got cheesy chips from here and took them back as they weren’t up to the standard they normally are, however one of the staff would’nt give me a refund as he said it wasn’t an option... absolutely disgraceful!!! A wouldn’t accept this in a restaurant so why would I in a chip shop???

I went here to get a quick takeaway as I was busy. I got sausage and chips. The chips were disgusting and the sausage was really hard and dry. I eat about 6 chips and had to throw them away.
