Highlights include a substantial vegan baker with a pleasantly creamy filling and a classic sausage roll, both boasting a decent crust for just £2.60. Patrons should also indulge in the raw cakes, notably a salted caramel and pecan pie combo for £5, perfect for a picnic in the nearby museum gardens. I bought a vegan pastry and a sausage roll from this restaurant. The vegan pastry was thick and filled with a creamy paste that was surprisingly tasty, while the sausage roll lived up to its name. Overall, not bad for the price of £2.60. The pastry crust on both items was decent. I would recommend giving it a try, but in my opinion, Greggs' vegan sausage rolls are much better.
Situated next to Sunderland Central train station, this bakery is in a prime location. We decided to try some of their raw cakes, including a salted caramel and pecan pie, which were 2 for £5. We enjoyed them during a picnic in the museum gardens nearby. While both cakes were delicious, the salted caramel lacked the expected saltiness and the pecan pie needed a touch more sweetness. Despite this, I would still recommend a visit, especially since students get a 10% discount with a valid student card.
Directly next to sunderland central railway station, this bakery could not be placed perfectly. we have let ourselves in for some nude tasty, namely a salted caramel and pecan pie raw cake 2 for 5 , which we ate as part of a picnic in the nearby museum gardens. both cakes were nice and delicious, but the salted caramel cake lacked that saltiness and the pecan pie needed a bit extra sweet. I would recommend a visit and they will receive 10 discount with a valid student card.
Gets a vegan baker and a sausage roll. The baker was substantially and filled with an unexpected but rather tasty thick creamy colored paste, while the sausage roll was more like the name suggested. Can't be for a combined price of £2.60 I guess. The pastry crust on both was also decent. A try worth, but Greggs vegan sausage rolls are miles better IMO
Situated conveniently next to Sunderland Central Train Station, this bakery is in the perfect location. We indulged in some delicious treats, including a salted caramel and pecan pie raw cake (2 for £5), which we enjoyed during a picnic in the nearby museum gardens. While both cakes were visually appealing and tasty, the salted caramel cake could have used a bit more saltiness and the pecan pie could have been a touch sweeter. I would suggest stopping by for a visit, especially since you can get a 10% discount with a valid student card.
