My wife and I were staying overnight in Sunderland, and whilst walking along the promenade we decided to have dinner in this eatery, and it turned out to be a great choice. We were shown to a table as soon as we arrived by a friendly member of staff, given menus and our drinks orders taken. The drinks were soon brought to the table and food orders taken. We found the staff to be very friendly and attentive but the food was very bland and flavourless. We ordered a bottle of white wine and we were surprised to be served a branded bottle which can be bought from the supermarket across...the road!! All in all we were very disappointed with our visit as we have had much, much better meals here previously.
At first sight you might mistake this for a beach café, shuttered and half –hidden under the promenade. That would be a big mistake – this is a proper Italian restaurant with a good variety of meat and fish dishes, pizza, pasta, starters, desserts….. On...a recent evening visit there was a very pleasant atmosphere, excellent food, friendly service, and all at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

Our family comprises members varying from to in age, with highly varied tastes. We forwarded our choices in advance and all choices were ready together minutes after arrival. Everyone was delighted with the quantity and quality of the food and the...efficiency and unfussiness of the service. There was a good selection of sweets and, for a Yorkshireman, the final bill was a pleasant surprise
We made our first visit to this restaurant last night, and our second visit tonight. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The food is cooked to order and expertly presented. We were completely satisfied on both occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed the food and surroundings....We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and thank them for their excellent service.
