I ordered the tofu in Satay sauce and it was delicious. The Singapore rice noodles with vegetables were also really tasty, and none of the food was greasy, unlike some other places. Update from previous review on January 25, 2022.

I recently discovered this Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood and it has quickly become a favorite. They have a special section on the menu dedicated to vegan options. When you ask about it, they are happy to walk you through the choices. My go-to order includes egg-free fried rice, mini spring rolls, and Satay Tofu.

With an extensive menu featuring no less than 17 tofu dishes, we opted for the tofu Szechuan and tofu in black pepper sauce. The Szechuan tofu was dry and spicy, with green chilies and garlic adding a perfect touch. The saucy black pepper dish had a flavorful kick to it. A side of mushrooms in gravy sauce complemented the meal nicely. Overall, Ryhope is worth revisiting after all these years.

So once after the order (with a milk allergy too) and then not good (although none of it) we went to order again and we are told that they do not really vegan food because it has milk in the tofu?! Not sure whether they got confused or whether it's not vegan. If someone can throw some light on that for me, that would be wonderful.

A nice Chinese ride with an excellent selection of vegan dishes. I enjoyed a Chikn black bean sauce dish with rice and chips as well as curry sauce naturally.
