fantastic Mexican experience in sunderland with wonderfully tasteful and authentic Mexican style. a great little gem and a welcome addition to the sunderland food scene. View all feedback.
What Ken Hughes doesn't like about El Nido:
Interesting flavours but wasted on dry chicken and poor execution of the dishes...so much potential for awesomeness but shame it tries to impress the hipster crowd rather than do good food with it's good flavours View all feedback.
This recently reopened restaurant offers authentic Mexican flavors in a unique dining experience. On Sundays, they serve a smaller menu consisting mainly of cocktails and tacos. Cash only and no reservations necessary, you can simply drop in between 5pm to 10pm. The street food ambience adds to the experience, and I highly recommend trying the tacos with spicy sauce. If you have any special requests, just ask and they will try to accommodate. This restaurant is a must-visit for foodies looking to try something different and authentic. It's not your typical Tex-Mex place, but offers a true taste of Mexico.
