This is the best fish and chip restaurant in the whole northeast....infact I try to say it is the best in the whole world (but don't quote me up, as I generally don't make a worldwide fish-N-chip shop trips or I would be totally obese! I love coming to clems, it is not only eating that I love, but the company of very friendly staff, they can never do enough for them! my little girl spilt her chips and the girl that worked, cried back down for another part! big babysitting asswell can I add! they played with my little boy while I recommend my tee ate! chicken kiew and chips! absolutely beautiful infact I can now have a trip through the city......the comments to the other reviews need to be ignored as they could be avoided if they had only spoken with the beautiful staff about that they would have sorted it for them.

Chips and chips with homemade tartar sauce in the restaurant very tasty for £6.75 5 stars there. No contactless payment and disappointed that no Heinz ketchup which I had to pay extra for instead of the free cheap option. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice clean Fish Shop in the heart of Front Street, Chester-le-Street. Tasty fish chips. Social distancing is tight when queueing as the shop is quite narrow. Helpful friendly staff. Payment is cash only has been for a long time, their sign says they need a new card machine.

Eating in restaurant with family, service very good, staff very nice, fish was wonderful and chips hot and the portion size was a bit on the generous side to be honest. tee was good and around a happy experience. can recommend.

Although made to order the fish, was uncooked and raw and soggy. chips were not really fried and raw in the middle. all served by an impersonal assistant. will not be back
