Attended this venue for a Massaoke event, where a live band play and the crowd sing the songs altogether, with the help of lyrics on big TV screens. It was absolutely amazing! Had the best night out ever! Me and my friends immediately booked up for the next one (Xmassaoke, where all the songs a Christmas themed). We can't wait! The venue is a good size, drinks are priced as expected (about £4 a pint) and the staff we... View all feedback.
I don't even know where to begin. My new wife and I had our wedding at this location on Saturday and I cannot stress enough how flawless the entire experience was. The manager/organizer, Matt, stayed in constant communication with us leading up to the big day and was always willing to go above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. On the day of the event, everything ran like clockwork. The entire staff was lovely and attentive to our guests, and the food was outstanding. Our guests also couldn't stop raving about how amazing Matt and his team were. The venue was beautifully decorated exactly how my wife wanted it, with no detail overlooked. Honestly, if we could give this venue a higher rating, we would. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to tie the knot.
Great place, great staff. every time I talked to them, whether it is online in person they were very helpful and friendly. I love the bingo revolution nights they do, always laugh. the burgers are really good when they try a vegetarian the notorious wfc
Had a fantastic Sunday dinner with my family at this restaurant. The prices were more reasonable than usual, but the quality of the food was excellent. It tasted like a home-cooked meal. The staff was very friendly and the beer selection was great. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.
First visit to the Bonded Warehouse, well restored old building. Good selection of craft beers and the food is great and reasonably priced. Great to see the riverside buildings being restored and put to good use. Finally Sunderland is catching up with the Toon and making use of our many historical buildings .Well done Fat Hippo and good luck with this venture.
My lovely wife announced that she would like a blue cheese burger so it was my job to hunt one down and knowing that The Fat Hippo have opened up in The Bonded Warehouse it was a quick Google of the menu then a phone call to reserve a table and we were off. I ordered the fried pickle starter, described as strips but appearing as discs, these coins of battered dill pickle are lovely and the accompanying sauces complimented them beautifully, cool sour cream and a tasty hot sauce, a great start. We both order the Stinky Pete with dirty fries upgrade, what wife wants she gets. A brioche bun with burgers blue cheese and relishes appear soon enough and we tuck in. Everything is very nice, just enough toppings and a good sized portion, our only criticism would be that the burgers were a little dry, maybe slightly overdone, just not as succulent as we expected, this was more apparent to my refined other half as she cut hers up where as I just tucked right in. We had a couple of soft drinks and the bill was quite reasonable, I think we will be back for another visit, there's a peanut butter topped burger I want to try.
