My guys took me to Monk's on Mother's Day and we had a great time! Our server was very attentive and quick and our food and drinks were really good. I had the brisket burger...nice. I even got a free brownie ala mode out of it! Highly recommended View all feedback.
What Rick Potter doesn't like about Monk's Grill:
The food was just okay. My burger had a totally soggy bun bottom, and was well done instead of medium as ordered. It also only had a couple of small cubes of burnt ends brisket that was supposed to be a featured component of the Blackout Burger recipe from the summer seasonal menu. At $16.95, with only potato chips as a side, it was significantly overpriced from my perspective. My wife did enjoy her Cubano Sandwich,... View all feedback.
By far the worst service I have had in a long time. We love the Monks in the Dells and we’re excited to come to this one and we were super disappointed. Our server Piper was beyond snotty and rude and claimed we had to wait to get our bill because she “was filling sauces and couldn’t get away”. Every time she came to the table she came with an attitude, had to flag down for refills and food was basically thrown on the table in front of us with ranch dripping off of the plate all over the place she made no attempt to help clean up or even bring extra napkins. To make it worse she had ranch on her acrylic nail (that is disgusting in food service) and I am not sure if it was because her nail was in my plate or from the ranch going everywhere. Hopefully she cleaned under those nails well before filling sauces in there kitchen and not being able to bring us our bill.

At $16.95, with only potato chips as a side, it was significantly overpriced from my perspective. My wife did enjoy her Cubano Sandwich, but it was also similarly highly priced with only chips. It costs a reasonable $5.95 more to upgrade from chips to cheese curds, or only $1.49 for crispy fries as premium sides . However, $16.50-$18.50 for a cheeseburger with fries in a Sun Prairie sports bar seems excessive. On a positive note, Desserts were good, and relatively moderately priced at $6.99-$7.99.
This place is the definition of "Meh... "We ordered the cheese curds, mushroom and Swiss burger, and smoked wings. The server was very pleasant, but inattentive. We constantly had to flag her down for every little thing. Refills, napkins, and poor food. The burger was flavorless. Very subpar. The chips tasted as if they had been refried from sitting out for a long period of time. Hard as a rock and grease logged. The cheese curds were good, but the portion you get for $14 is not worth it. Again, good not great. The smoked wings were disgusting. They were ordered with the ranch dry rub. It tasted as if they were covered In pepper and finished with a pound of salt.We had to wait 15 mins to find our server after the food came out to let her know about the issues. She was very nice and fixed the issue with plain wings. They were good. And replaced the chips with fresh fries. Honestly, the fries were the best part of the meal....Needless to say, I 'm $80 lighter and won 't be returning.
