I attempted to order a demi-shot bloody Mary with a bottle of Tabasco on the side at the start of our meal, only to receive a cocktail that was already over-seasoned and so spicy I couldn't drink it. My attempts to signal one of the many servers bustling around were in vain, so I eventually went to the bar to have it remade. To top it all off, the server, who seemed to think she was in a cheap diner, scolded me for not finishing my meal. That's when I nearly lost my cool, but instead of causing a scene, I went to the bathroom and stumbled upon the filthy toilet. Honestly, I felt like I was in a gas station restroom in a sketchy neighborhood! Just skip this place. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby where you won't have to deal with this nonsense!
I visited the restaurant this morning for breakfast with my aunt and uncle. Unfortunately, the service was quite forgetful. My waffle came out stone cold, as if it had just been taken from the fridge. I sent it back and ordered two eggs over easy with bacon, but they arrived cooked hard instead. I also had to request toast, and they forgot my uncle's sausage. Additionally, we had to ask for our drinks. It was a disappointing experience, and I’m not sure if it was due to a single cook or if they had a new cook on staff.
We've only visited for breakfast and brunch, and it was exactly what you would expect. It wasn't bad, but nothing particularly impressive either. The pools are nice, and the scenery is lovely.
Nice open and comfortable cafe by the pools of Oakwood IronOaks Active Adult community. The food is fine. Its not your fabulous diner but for a quick bite to eat with friendly staff not bad at all. Very reasonable prices. Limited menu. Breakfast and lunch is served. Well worth a try...
