Description

Tubs has garnered mixed reactions, showcasing both promise and significant shortcomings. While certain dishes, like the prime rib and hot beef sandwich, receive high praise for their flavor and quality, service and management issues mar the experience. Customers report long waits and inattentive staff, leading to frustration. The shift in management from Tub and Carol has led to a decline in the quality of homemade salads and breakfast offerings that once thrived. Despite its potential, patrons recommend exploring nearby alternatives for a consistently satisfying meal. Overall, Tubs remains a local option, but it needs significant improvement to restore its former charm.

This restaurant offers some decent food. We went there for lunch today. The salad bar was enjoyable, as always. We tried the Reuben sandwich, but it didn't set a great standard for comparison. We also ordered the lunch special of fried chicken, which was similarly just okay. However, I should mention that on Saturday nights, they serve a pretty good prime rib. Overall, it’s not outstanding, but certainly worth a visit.

It's difficult for me to write this, but I'm really disappointed by how this place has changed over the past few years since it left the hands of Tub and Carol. Our town needs this restaurant, but the salads aren't homemade like they used to be, and the service, especially for locals, has really declined. The prime rib seems to be bought and just warmed up, and they've discontinued the delicious Texas toast they once offered. They had the opportunity to learn from Tub and Carol's successful methods, but they chose not to. The lunch specials are not appealing, so I recommend going down the road to Amherst instead. As a business owner, I hear the frustration from others, and it's clear that Tub's needs to improve. I'm giving it two stars simply because it's our only option... and we need it.

I really enjoyed visiting this place in such a small town. Everyone was pleasant and had smiles. Even the patrons were happy. Thank you. The corned beef was great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
