The food and desserts here are absolutely delicious! I would definitely come back again and again. I ordered my birthday cake from this place, and it was amazing! View all feedback.
What 1Peter L (2 1 year ago doesn't like about Charleston Bakery Delicatessen:
Had the pastrami sandwhich there and found it to be a joke on good NY style deli food. They served me the sandwhich with the pastrami COLD, and anyone from NYC knows you never ever trim off all the fat from pastrami and for the sake of God never ever serve it cold, an unforgivable deli mistake, unless of course your in South Carlolina and are charging $20 for it, LOL View all feedback.
To my Charleston friends- RUN, don't walk to this gem. Totally worth the trip from James Island. Pastrami?! . Baked goods?! Incredible. Latkes?! Amazing. The staff could not be any friendlier. Fingers crossed they consider more locations at some point!!!
We’ve never had a bad dish at the Charleston Deli. So glad friends introduced us to it. Remember to go early for breakfast!
I had the Swedish crepes with the lingonberry butter. They were delicious. I also had the homemade corned beef hash, which was wonderful as well. Very crowded but yet the food came out very fast. I also tried the red velvet cheesecake, and that was the highlight of my day.
I just had a potato and corned beef knish. It was like heaven in my mouth!!! Sooo good and the people were very nice!!!
Went for the tongue on rye. Had it served hot and it was the best tongue sandwich I've ever had. Amazing. Matzoh ball soup was good as was the knish and pickles. Hot dogs disappointed, as they seemed like they were Oscar Meyer or something... was totally expecting Hebrew National, but hey, I don't need to order hot dogs there.
