We were is town to go to a show and wandered in without a reservation. Staff was kind to seat us and we had a great meal. The appetizers were outstanding and I had a filling turf and mash for a main. Would definitely recommend it even if it is a bit pricey for the area. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about OpenEats:
Don't waste your time. Puny space, pricey, packed shoulder to shoulder. When I dine out, I like to hear the conversation of friends, not the people beside me. And I don't like to be rushed for the next available table. View all feedback.
This restaurant was suggested by the receptionist at our motel. We walked right by it in trying to find it. The venue is tiny but very intimate and the food on a select menu is very delicious. The homemade pastas are authentic and the mashed potatoes are especially tasty! Keep it up!
My husband and I were visiting PEI for our anniversary and, based on the reviews, decided to dine at OpenEats while staying in Summerside. Wow, what an incredible meal! The food was delicious and the service was just as wonderful. We were seated in the private area, just up the stairs, where there was enough room for a table for two. It was the perfect anniversary meal! Jill, our server was so sweet and accommodated my gluten-free needs. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant! If you're a couple, definitely see if you can get the private table for two. Between the service, the food, and the music playing throughout the restaurant, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Coming from Toronto, we know a good restaurant when we see one and OpenEats definitely hit the spot!

The food was good but unnecessarily complicated. nothing special. Extremely overpriced for what you get and the location. All in all a disappointment.
Mary and I were looking for a nice restaurant to take our six year old grandson to, not fast food but not over the top either so Openeats sounded like the place for all of us so off we went. Well it was not for a six year old but these people made him feel as welcome as any adult couple coming for dinner offering unlimited popcorn and a nice pasta dish half price. Now as for the food it was outstanding from the old style milk bottles of ice cold water to the service of the servers everything was wonderful. I had a braised beef with home grown vegetables and a side order of fsmous PEI mussels to Mary's haddock in cornbread crumbs and PEI grown potatoes everything was perfect. Price wise for a truly delicious meal it was spot on not too much if you don't add drinks and wine. We didn't have any. And the piece du resitant was the stretch limo on the main floor. The grandson loved it!
