Description

Located in Alabama, the Polar Bar offers a nostalgic, old-fashioned dairy bar experience with hearty meals like cheeseburgers and chocolate soft serve. While many patrons praise the delicious food and quick, friendly service, there are concerns about food quality inconsistency—some dishes, like hot wings and fries, fell short of expectations. The atmosphere shines for sports enthusiasts and families alike, featuring a well-stocked bar. However, management may need to address the presence of loitering teens at the bar to enhance the dining experience further. Overall, the Polar Bar shows promise as a local favorite with room for improvement.

This is a fantastic spot to catch a game with great food. Even though I don't drink, the bar is well stocked and inviting. For families, there is a wonderful dining area and they even serve Blue Bell ice cream.

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries at this restaurant. The cheesesteak was delicious and ready in 15-20 minutes after I called it in. However, the fries were too salty for my liking, so I couldn't finish them. There was plenty of parking available at the restaurant.

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries at this restaurant. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious, and I had called ahead to order it, so it was ready in 15-20 minutes. However, the fries were too salty for my liking, so I didn't eat them all. There was plenty of parking available at the restaurant.

I recently visited an old-fashioned dairy bar and had a satisfying meal. I enjoyed a large cheeseburger with onion rings and opted for chocolate soft serve ice cream in a cone. The menu was typical of a dairy bar and brought back fond memories of the one that used to be in my hometown of Hamilton, AL. The service was quick and friendly, and although it had been a couple of years since my last visit, I plan on returning. The prices were reasonable, with an average cost of $10-20 per person for lunch. Overall, I would rate the food and service as a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere as a 3 out of 5. I highly recommend trying their cheeseburger.
