I will first say that this is not your classic restaurant. It's not a restaurant. It is a nice Lippovan (Romanian from the Dobrogea region) family, the delicious meals for tourists who try out some genuine Lippovan...food. It is best if you ask your guide to take you there (I don't know if Mr. Neagu speaks English), but I guarantee you it's worth it. What Răzvan Cojocaru doesn't like about Familia Neagu:
Non si può chiamare locale ma è come andare a mangiare in giardino da amici. La pulizia non è il massimo e se vogliamo dirla tutta nemmeno la freschezza del cibo. Io li ci abito ed è un posto per le allodole dei turisti. La vera tipicità e qualità rumena e di Sulina non la trovate sicuramente qui View all feedback.
Great experience in Neagus place, lots of food, very tasty savoured fish in fact. Definitely recommended!
It is not a restaurant, but a family that provides local food for tourists. The family probably doesn't speak English, but the food is worth it and you get to eat in the garden. However, it is a bit expensive (I compare my prices to the restaurants, but with less than restaurant services). I assume this is because the fish in the delta has paradoxically become very scary and people have to meet... Would recommend a visit, definitely!

When we went there, we were a couple, two family children, our guide and another three young people. Mr. Neagu, who is a very kind person, has received us in the garden and we ate there, at a table large enough for everyone and the atmosphere was very traditional and friendly. We were served two delicious types of fish soups and two types of oven-cooked fish (Kap and Luce, I belive), all for 30 RON.
This is not a restaurant but a family providing home-cooked local food for tourists. The family probably do not speak English but the food is worth it and you get to eat in the garden. It is however a little expensive (I mean prices comparable to the restaurant ones but with less than restaurant services). I suppose this is because fish has paradoxically become very scarce in the Delta and people need to scrape to meet ands meet... Would recommend a visit, definitely!
