Overall, I was disappointed with the food considering the price, but the atmosphere was excellent.
The Cast Iron Grill Bar came as a recommendation that did not disappoint! We went on Saturday for her champagne brunch. Wow! Immediately our server brought free fruit and cake. The chocolate cakes and cranberry cakes were soft and delicious. The fruit was perfectly ripe and full of taste. The food was excellent. The champagne with the choice of juice for mimoses was generous and a perfect companion to our food. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations for eating. We're definitely coming back. In today's rising costs for everything, this meal was generous and a great price for everything!
Friday night for me and wife! Tonight there was a pretty good crowd, but we sat right away. This is a place where you can dress or be casual. It is located in the heart of downtown the old Suisun. Many other restaurants in the area. Besides a beautiful marina and even a few hotels. We started a few drinks. My wife ordered a Moscow Mule and I had a Suisun Sour (they take a whisky sour). It was pretty good. It was made with Templeton rye whiskey, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, orange bitter and a Wooden Valley Sangiovese float. For our meal we started ordering Brussels Sprouts. These are covered with crispy bacon and covered with balsamic glaze, parmesan cheese and crispy onions. Next was the roasted pig bell. This court is phenomenal! This rich pig bell is roasted oven with cinnamon and cloves. It is served with roasted Napa cabbage and apple Slave. It is then covered with an apple cidder glaze and crispy sweet potatoes. For our main course we both decided to go with the Ahi Poké salad. This consisted of soy-aged marinated raw Ahi Thun. About mixed greens with cucumber, radish, avocado, edamame, carrot, mango, sesame seeds and crispy ton with a sweet balsamic vinaigrette and spicy aioli. Dinner was fantastic! The service was great! The atmosphere is perfect! We will definitely come back.
The place was packed. Short wait time to be seated. Our waitress was very attentive. Everything was delicious. Brunch included Mimosas! What a great value. Would definitely return.
Great little spot in Suisun. Erika was supper nice, didn't rush us and had good recommendations. Lamb burger, medium rare.. awesome. Had the garlic fries instead of regular.. they were good, but be ready for some GARLIC! Ordered the Pancetta Prawns with Polenta off the apps menu. Plenty big to be a meal! Very good but I'd call them med shrimp, not prawns. But, there was quite a few of them so we enjoyed it. Enjoyed the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Make sure you ask for whiskey sauce to go with the cobbler!!
It was our first time at Cast Iron Grill and I have to say the food was delicious, my husband had the NY Strip with Parmesan sauce, shrimp, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies and he ate everything he really enjoyed it! I had the seafood pasta, it was also delicious. We went on Father's day Sunday so I will blame the long waits on that, other than taking a bit long between dishes the service was good and the server was friendly. The drinks were also really good, we had the Sangria Flight and the Pineapple Mojito.
