Unfortunately probably the only place to get greasy real Taiwanese sausage. I tried their Taiwanese mochi meatball ok but same the only place you can get it. I hope to try their Taiwanese meat filled tribute ball soup but did not have the chance yet. Last time I came got 3 lbs of Taiwanese sausage pop them into the airfryer and they r the best! Very delicious bentobox! However, I feel that the Veggie content has reduced overtime, 80% or more of the Bento box just filled with white rice!
It's great to able to get authentic Taiwanese-style bento boxes that are delicious and budget-friendly. The service was quick and the delivery was on time.
When craving comfort food, one often seeks a dish that warms the soul and brings a sense of home. This was the case on a recent Sunday when I visited a highly rated Taiwanese fast food spot at the food court in Jusgo Supermarket in Sugar Land. I have been to Joy's Dim Sum three times and each visit has been excellent, so I decided to try out this place specializing in Taiwanese cuisine. Although I missed out on the recommended Braised Chicken Leg, I opted for the next popular item, the Railroad Bento. This traditional dish includes Fried Soy Braised Pork Chop, Braised Egg, Taiwanese Sausage, Pickled Mustard Greens, Cucumber, Stir-fried Cabbage, and White Rice. The comfort and satisfaction provided by the Railroad Bento at Mama Wu's Kitchen exceeded my expectations. The Grilled Sausage, paired with the White Rice, was a perfect combination. The Egg Yolk Pastry, filled with sweet Red Bean and a Salted Egg Yolk, served as a delightful dessert to complete the meal. This type of comfort food, simple yet delicious, is exactly what I crave at times. I look forward to returning to Mama Wu's Kitchen to explore more of their offerings and understand why it is cherished by the community for delivering a taste of Taiwan to Houston.
This Taiwanese comfort food restaurant located inside Jusgo Market in Sugarland deserves a solid 5 star rating! Note that they are closed on Mondays and Thursdays. When in doubt, I always come here to enjoy their bento boxes. Although there may not be a wide selection, the options available are more than enough. My favorite bento box is the Chicken Leg, but be aware that it tends to sell out quickly due to its popularity. In that case, I would recommend trying the Fried Chicken Steak or the signature dish, Braised Pork Belly. Each bento box comes with rice, Taiwanese sausage, pickled cucumber, cabbage, and an egg. Overall, the bento box is satisfying, delicious, and provides all the necessary protein, carbs, and veggies in one convenient box. Don't miss out on this amazing dining experience!
Very good and simple Taiwanese bento box meals for a low and decent price (under $10). I got the fish fillet bento box and it comes with cabbage, a few pieces of Taiwanese sausage, an egg, and pickled veggies. It's located in the Jusgo grocery store. It would be a awesome if they have popcorn chicken and shrimp bento boxes!
