We had eaten at this Lupe Tortilla a handful of times before the pandemic. The food was fine but the family all agreed that the taste, although good, wasn't as good as one would expect for the prices they charge. The portions always seemed smaller than other restaurants. The fajita meat is good, but there are a lot of other places where it's a lot better. We will continue to stop by here a couple of times a year to k... View all feedback.
What Jamar Kihn doesn't like about Lupe Tortilla:
So we moved away 5 years ago. But we are back. I ate at the Lupes on Katy freeway and it was just as I remembered. Ate at the one in the woodlands and found it to be different. The flour tortillas were not the same. Hot sauce was not the same. And the dishes did not seem to be the same. I think they are different owners now . I will give it another shot because this has always been my favorite place. The food is not... View all feedback.
I had my birthday dinner with my family and everything was amazing, as usual. lupe is my fave Tex-Mex place and the service and eating is always the best! our waiter tyrone was outstanding! he was attentive, enthusiastic and entertaining during dinner. the manager came to the table to welcome us and make sure that our eating was on place. this place is consistent when it comes to their food and service! their fajitas and huge tortillas are the best!
We had eaten in this lupe tortilla a handful of time before the pandemic. the eating was good, but the family all agreed that the taste, although good, was not as good as one would expect for the prices they would calculate. the portions seemed smaller and smaller than other restaurants. the fajita meat is good, but there are many other places where it is much better. we will stop here a few times in the year to keep our Tex Mexican restaurant rotationally interesting.
This was our first time to go to this place overall my third time eating in lupe tortilla. there was a 11⁄2 2 hours waiting because it was Mother's Day. but our waiter pinklio took care of our party of 9 he forgot to refill our chip baskets.
Saturday 5-7-22 for lunch. there were about 15 minutes waiting for a table, so we sat in the bar area. service was absolutely terrible! had to wait about 15 minutes to get a menu and order drinks. we waited 15 minutes to order and 30 minutes for our bark quesadillas. there were 2-3 servers in the opposite and only about 5 tables and a few people sitting in the bar. in the reception two ladies sat, most of the time on their phones, and there were two youngs at the take-out desk and for the greatest part, sitting on the phones only there, which does not meet their excuse of the subpersonal. our queen was probably the best I ever had and came with guacamole, acidic and a bowl. at last I had to go to the bar and ask the guy for an ingest and my scary. eating was great, but an absolute sweat. some other tables, which also complain, were also noticed.
We come to Lupe pretty frequently, actually. My wife's favorite fajitas! Had the Carne Asada and Eggs for brunch this past weekend. Plate is plentiful for sure. Everything was cooked well, especially the eggs (perfect over medium) for this plate in particular, we'd say the fajita style beef (or marinade/seasoning) would work best. Also personally would have preferred the charro beans served with lunch/dinner over the refritos because they're so flavorful (we didn't ask, but will next time and I can say that this location is really great about ensuring you are satisfied with meal and service consistently. Definitely a recommended establishment ?
