Was here last feb for my hudband's birthday... We asked for soy sauce for sushi...The waiter brought ridiculous taste of sauce... which is not soy sauce..My husband and I, we are both Asian(Korean) we know how soy sauce taste like. We use it all the time !!!!!!!Even one of their meat was marinated with Chinese sauce........this is not close to Japanese food.If you want to ruin your dinner, go headI would never go bac... I visited this restaurant in Japan in 2002 and found that the service and food here are just as excellent as in Kobe. There is convenient parking nearby and great ventilation, although my clothes still smelled a bit like BBQ after my visit. My favorite dishes were the Wagyu beef, Japanese style chicken wing, short beef ribs, lamb, and tofu. The miso soup and spicy crab meat hand roll were also good. Surprisingly, the butter rice was a hit with our group. A tip for enjoying the wagyu beef is to cut it in half and grill it before placing it on top of the rice to let the flavor drip in.
I love the spicy chicken wing here. I don't usually go for the BBQ because it takes a while and you always end up burning things in the uneven heat. However the Spicy chicken wing is excellent. I add a spoon of chilli paste and yum! . Also the spicy seafood ramen are excellent. So definitely worth a try...
After years of waiting table BBQ finally landed in Sudbury. The beef here is of good quality and the selection on the menu is all encompassing. Grab sushi, different meat cuts, different styles of rice and much more. While this isn't the greatest BBQ experience of this style, it's certainly worth a night out. Expensive though.
I absolutely love this Japanese restaurant! It is definitely one of the best in town. The decor is beautiful, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. As for the food, it was excellent overall. We tried the pork, seafood, and beef dishes. The beef was fantastic, but I felt that the pork lacked a bit of spice.
Tried this for a new experience and wasn't disappointed. We tried several of the options but the lamb (only available for supper) was what most of us came back to repeatedly, even though we found so many delicious items to try. Our party had a good time cooking their food and choosing their own culinary adventure. It was my first time at this style of restaurant, but I would definitely go again. It was similar to an all you can eat sushi but with the addition of a cooking pan at the table. We were in a party of four and I would say it was the perfect size for the best social experience. You have plenty of time to chat while cooking your food. The atmosphere lends itself to dinner talk and I could see myself going back with just my wife for a special night. The only drawback (or perk) is your clothes may smell like Japanese BBQ for a while after. Putting on my winter jacket still gives me a faint whiff of pleasant memories.
