Orient Restaurant - Sudbury

I ordered food for pickup for a dinner for our family. The cashier mistakenly left the most expensive entree off our order. I did not discover this mistake until I returned home and realized the main entree was not in the bag. I had to phone in, correct the order, and return to the store to pick up the remaining item. The store has a policy of reducing the price by 10% for cash orders over $35. They refused to honour this policy because they now charged me for the remaining single entree, which by itself did not exceed $35. I pointed out that if they had correctly included the item in the original purchase as was requested, the bill would be well over $35 and the discount should apply. They refused to honour this policy despite the fact that they had made the mistake. The cost difference was only a few dollars, but the point is that their behaviour was unfair. In fact, since I had to replace the order and return to the restaurant, leaving everybody waiting for a further 20 minutes for dinner while the food all got cold, plus the cost of gas, etc. and the inconvenience, I would have expected some sort of credit rather than being charged MORE for their error than I would have paid originally.

This is my favourite chinese restaurant in town. I usually order the dinner for 3 special, and their teriyaky steaks as a side. They are always prompt and the food is delicious. Just always remember to phone in your order, but if you want it for New Years, order it the day before.

The Chow Fun is great. The hot and sour soup is over spiced, thus HOT, but otherwise OK. The Lemon Chicken and Orange chicken are pretty good too. I was supprised to finf Chow Fun up here, but its good.

Ordered food by phone at 3pm for a 530pm pick up. Standard items, nothing very complicated to prepare, not a large order (food for 5 people). They were busy and very unorganized...and although we live a mere 90 seconds away, all of the food was stone cold when we got home. It is though it had been prepared an hour earlier. Very disappointed this time,

This is our regular go to place for Chinese take out. Good selection of dishes (especially the hot and spicy stuff) and the fixed dinner for two/three are excellent choices for a night binging movies portions are large there will be leftovers for the next day. Service is fast and friendly. Be careful ordering as Mama's English is a little rough. Make sure the order is repeated back slowly.
