Mala Gostiona - Subotica

What once was respectable place, now its turned to be modest average place crying for redecoration and investment as well as new management, with poor service and food. Surprisingly enough, smoking is allowed even in dining areas, reminiscence of old days of socialism! Turned out to be place for cheap business seminars facility and trade unions team building for small bucks.

Food is ok. Service is ok. There is nothing great but the location. The restaurant is near the Palic lake.

Food is so so. The cheese sets were looking like it was outdated already. Chivap was also not good.

“Mala gostiona” restaurant has existed for more than a century and a half in the same place and under the same name. I have been there several times. Staff is usually unprofessional and slow. Once, for a simple dessert like pancakes we had to wait almost an hour. Here is a tip: order a drink only and enjoy the atmosphere of the wonderful terrace or inside the place, so you may feel its beauty. You can say that you have been in one of the most famous restaurants at Park Palić afterwards. Nowadays there are better places to enjoy tasty food and local wine. Their location and atmosphere is wonderful but their food and services I do not recommend.

We have been visiting this place on several occasions over the last ten years or so. It was one of go-to places when we were visiting Palić as both the food and service were excellent. Sadly, this has changed a lot. Portion sizes are still big but the food is either tasteless or smells weird (as if it's stale). The restaurant is dirty and the service is beyond slow. On top of all that, you're paying top prices for all that.
