Where do I start? the atmosphere is convenient for what is in my mind is a 5-star experience. the menu, the tapas and small teller is kreatiw, varied and full of surprises. most are an extension of the Colombian food history, but with...unique twists. I have probably cost at least half the elements on the menu, and I promise I won't be disappointed by everyone. this is really a hidden gem in the world's foodie experience. and the wine list can be the best in the city. Finally, the service is exceptional and they really know their menu.
Nueve has probably the best wine selection in Bogota. They offer around 150 bottles, and all of them are available by the glass. Food is tapas and small dishes, all very tasty and original. A great place for small groups. Lightning could be improved, it is somewhat dark in some spots... This restaurant does not typically accepts walk-ins, it's a closed door restaurant for which you should always make reservations. Service is very good, all waiters are very knowledgeable and professional. I really like that music is not loud at all, this is place where you can actually have a conversation.
We came in April with clients and co-workers. Just outstanding. Menu is comprised of tapas, we had a combination of different choices; empanadas, oxtail, tuna tartare, honestly I was so busy eating I wasn't taking note of all the different tapas. The chef/owner took a personal interest in our meal, and offered outstanding wine pairings with the tapas. Service was attentive and the crew spoke good English. We were lucky, we came on a Monday night - apparently there's a months long waitlist on Friday/weekends nights...not surprising given what we experienced.Would absolutely go back and highly recommend. For 7, with alcohol and dessert and service fee included, came to $325USD. Very very good value.
Glorious food and wines, in a very friendly fun relaxing atmosphere. We came from London with a recommendation to eat here from Colombian friends, and were delighted with the meal. The lovely owner chef himself came out and helped us choose from the menu and wine list. Then he kindly helped me and my daughters get cabs at the end! A great evening.
