The boat sailed around Breiðafjörður’s numerous islands, where we saw variegated rock faces and areas of historical interest. The highlight of the tour was towing the dredge along the ocean floor, scooping up various kinds of shellfish: scallops, sea urchins, crabs, starfish, etc. The tour included a taste of scallops and sea urchins. It was a unique and fun experience.

Personally I did not appreciate the fishing of molluscs and crustaceans specially made for tourists. The experience is beautiful even without fishing.

The seafood is fresh and the employees are quite kind in preparing the seafood for consumption. I highly recommend this experience. You will also see Puffins and other marine life.
