Look German food is always heavy and filing, but if you drink enough beer it goes down just gine. Wanted a place suggested on trip advisor.com and this was it
Visited on a Saturday evening, having made a reservation earlier in the day. This was a good idea, as the outside dining area was full, and the indoor space was not being used. The menu is handwritten in German, and quite difficult for us to read, but the waitress was very helpful, and appeared really concerned to ensure we were going to be happy with our menu choices. Indeed, we were - the food was all good - especially a venison main course, which was absolutely delicious. Service throughout was excellent and perfectly paced: allowing us to join a relaxed dinner, but without feeling that you had to wait unnecessarily. The wines - a house Riesling, and a couple of glasses of red wine recommended by a waiter, were also very good. Overall, a lovely spot for a summer dinner!
We love coming to Weinstube Vetter. It's a great place to go for a good German meal and a good glass of wine. The ambience is lovely. Just make sure you book a table in advance.
This restaurant in up on a hill in Stuttgart and has outside and indoor dining. Reservations suggested but we walked in at 6pm and were seates immediately. Menu is in german only. Our waiter was very charming and translated everything. I had an excellent red wine called Lemburger, we also had the schnitzel with potatoes and rump steak with sautéed onions in an unbelievable rich sauce. For dessert we had the apple strudel which melts in your mouth. The decor is classic and lovely. I recommend a try!!
