We had a delicious meal today at the Ochsen pop-up restaurant! The six of us had the goose menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was also very attentive and we didn't have to wait too long for each course, even though the restaurant was quite busy! All in all, a wonderful lunch – thank you!
We were there yesterday, the large plate of Käsespätzle was a bit... small. The roulades were very tasty. The meal was €5-7 too expensive per person overall. The service was very attentive. However, what I really didn't appreciate was strangers (it turned out to be the owner) sitting at our table and engaging us in conversation. We didn't want to know anything about her foundation plans or her negotiations with the restaurant partner regarding her own tasting.
5 stars – A wonderful evening at the reopened Ochsen in Uhlbach! There were six of us on the first evening of the pop-up restaurant – and it was simply fantastic. The service was incredibly attentive and warm. We tried almost all the dishes: field salad, ox muzzle ceviche, goose, roulades, Gaisburger Marsch (a traditional Swabian stew), and Ofenschlupfer (a bread pudding) – everything was delicious! The rustic ambiance and the personal attention from the owner of the Ochsen and the proprietor of the Rotenberger Weingärtle winery made the evening perfect. A definite recommendation – it 's wonderful that the Ochsen is back!
Very rustic restaurant in the heart of Uhlbach. The garden under the chestnut tree, which is probably more than 30m high, is simply wonderful. Nearby activities: Good starting or ending point for hikes around the Rotenberg. Food drinks: Pretty much the best Gaisburger Marsch I've ever eaten. Perfect! The wine selection is also large and contains many delicious wines. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
