I stayed for two nights and one evening I ate at the restaurant- the food was delicious!! For breakfast you get housemate vegan cheese and meat which are fantastic and on top of all the host is super nice ! Highly recommended

The hotel has been in the same family since... read more This review is for the restaurant. It’s really good, great homemade vegan food using modified traditional recipies. The hotel has been in the same family since it opened in 1915 and the current generation has really respected the heritage while updating the menu. Everything is house made and delicious. As this is a small kitchen they require reservations via phone for dinner so they have enough food. They also have two friendly big dogs.

The first thing I noticed is the hospitality, the owners are a very friendly couple willing to help with whatever you need, including the hotel dog who might come to check you out but is harmless. This is a more traditional German hotel versus any of the large chains. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. I stayed in a room with a private bathroom so I can't speak to the shared bathrooms. They explained that they're testing the Wi-Fi but I found it good most of the time, more so in my room versus the lobby. The best part was the breakfast which was made to order local eggs and meats and cheeses. I enjoyed the day to day conversations with the owners. I would gladly stay at Hotel Kohler again.

Not to exceed by kindness and helpfulness. This is how you imagine hospitality.
