We ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Masa... read more We visited Chola last week. They have a promotional offer every Mondays wherein all the Dosa dishes are half price. We ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Masala Dosa and Butter Masala Dosa which we intended to eat at the restaurant. We requested the waitress to make the Dosa extra crispy and add the red garlic chutney inside the Dosa for all the Dosa dishes. In addition, the Dosa dishes also come with two kinds of chutneys in two different cups (one is tomato chutney and one is coconut chutney). The Dosa dishes were excellent. It was extremely crispy and had the red garlic chutney inside the Dosa as requested. We also ordered a strong filter coffee without sugar and that was also very good. We took a medu vada and Chicken 65 to go. The medu vada was very good and came with a coconut chutney. However, the Chicken 65 was not Chicken 65. It was more like Chicken kebab than Chicken 65. Last time we had ordered the Paneer 65 and that was not paneer 65 but rather Paneer pakora. Hence, we would only criticize these two dishes. Also another small suggestion/feedback is that you guys should tell us that if we request for red chutney inside the Dosa, then you'd charge extra. We don't have a problem paying it but it's good to just be transparent rather than adding it in the bill. Also it was confusing because you charged us for the red chutney inside the Dosa for one Dosa dish (Ghee Masala Dosa) and not the other (Butter Masala Dosa). The red chutney costed almost 40% of the Dosa dish itself Again, we don't have a problem paying for it but just let us know before you add it to the bill at the end. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. The food was authentic and packed with rich South Indian flavors—each dish was absolutely delicious. While the food is slightly on the expensive side, the quality and taste make it worth the price.
