Donny's Glidden Lodge - Sturgeon Bay

We visited Donny's Glidden Lodge to celebrate my wife's birthday, as she had been there before and requested it for her special dinner. It's a wonderful supper club, and we made a great choice. The lodge offers stunning views of the lake throughout the restaurant and bar, and we arrived just before sunset, creating the perfect romantic atmosphere. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. The menu boasts an impressive selection of steaks and seafood. My wife kicked things off with a shrimp cocktail (which you can order).

The location and scenery for this dining experience are unbeatable. The food and drinks were excellent, although my husband mentioned that the walleye was just good—not great. However, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the salted caramel cake, which was delightful. The staff was fantastic, aside from the hostess, who I found to be a bit harsh. The cheese curds were wonderful, crispy on the outside and soft and cheesy on the inside.

We visited this restaurant yesterday and had a wonderful dining experience. The lamb chops were juicy and full of flavor—I savored every bite. My husband and son also enjoyed their meals, particularly the French fries. The service was excellent, and the views of Lake Michigan added to the experience. This restaurant is just steps away from the lake.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impression! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, comprehensive wine list, and excellent cheese curds. I recommend it to everyone! I want to come back here again and again.

The best of the bunch! We've been enjoying Donny and Rita's food since they first opened in Alaska, and now they have a beautiful building with a stunning view to complement their fantastic dishes! Their signature steak, pan-fried walleye, and lamb are all outstanding, along with the Wednesday German specials. Plus, their son Tim mixes up some amazing drinks!
