I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited Suncafé, but I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were generous and everything was delicious. There are plenty of gluten-free options available (the bread on the ciabatta for the avocado toast is gluten-free) and the menu offers a variety of tasty choices. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Overall, I highly recommend Suncafé. And let's not forget to mention... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Suncafe:
This is a review of OpenTable not the restaurant… I made a reservation, but when I got there, the restaurant was closed. Open table needs to be in sync with the restaurants. It was a real disappointment to make a reservation get all the way there only to see a padlock on the door. View all feedback.
I already reviewed this place 3 years ago but have to point out one more time how amazing this place is. the menu is incredible, everything sounds delicious and creative. The Omelette is out of this world, the breakfast platter is to die for and every shake is delicious. Dogs are allowed on the patio and staff are so friendly. Support this place!! (Ps: the only thing I wouldn‘t order again is the matcha latte. unfortunately tasted bitter and wasn‘t prepared at the right temperature) Updated from previous review on 2021-06-28
Came here after a long day at Universal Studios. The location is great, there is a parking lot, and they have a nice outdoor patio out front. The menu had so many options that looked amazing I went with the Lasagna and it was better than I could have imagined. My partner got the Reuben on the amazing Gluten Free Ciabatta and was also blown away. Will definitely be back next time we are in town
I was starving when I got to Sun Cafe and they filled me up with the yummiest vegan breakfast I could ask for! They had so many options and it was so hard to choose! I decided on a plate that had eggs (JustEgg , beyond sausage, French toast, and home fries (so crispy and delicious! , all of which I polished off. I also had a yummy green juice.
This may be the most conventional tasting breakfast that happens to be vegan. Absolutely delicious and well made. Friendly staff and nice patio.
SunCafe has a lot of raw vegan choices as well as cooked vegan fare. They have both raw and regular vegan versions of lasagna .I often get the raw colossal kale salad, but have had everything from the amazing lentil loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy to nachos to the winter Ramen. Oh so delicious. The atmosphere is quintessential LA . Beautiful outdoor space as well as indoor dining and a bar. A good date night or lunch place. Special brunch menu on weekends . Just adding a couple more photos as we are here at brunch and we are served by manager server Emily who is always so professional and nice and helpful. Chandler got the son breakfast plate with waffles and sausage and I got an omelette with Caesar salad and it was all delicious.  They finally have lattes. Management has changed and now it is a more of a larger chain type place but I have not noticed that there is a difference in the food.  Updated from previous review on 2023-04-22
