Upon arrival, you may find yourself in line wondering if you are at an ice cream shop or a trendy nightclub. What can you say about this place, no matter what place you go? I was here in LA and OC and even SF. The ice is great, love the aromas and the constant seasonal offers. Really! Do you know someone who doesn't love ice cream? Even on cold days, ice is good. Come on, if I'm near Salt and Straw.
We've been coming to this salt straw religiously because of two reasons 1. The ice cream is AMAZING and every month there are new limited edition flavors that are so fun to try2. Our fav ice cream scooper named Merelee (AHHH I hope we spelled her name right!!!! She is the sweetest person ever who always asks about our day and is the such a ray of sunshine. Give her a raise and a promotion ASAP!!! We get sad when we go to salt straw and she isn't there.
So so good! we got three pints and four cones to go to at back at our Airbnb due to it being a long day of travel. The use cream was smooth, creamy and so very tasty! The fines were also fresh and on point! we got two of their specials (cereal line) and the peanut butter one was amazing! We also got the strawberry balsamic with black pepper and it was unique and delicious.
My friends and I had a night time ice cream craving and ended up at Salt Straw. When we got there, we weren't anticipating a long line outside, but after 15 minutes of waiting, we were able to enter the store. The store was very small, but because they limit the quantity of people who can enter at a time, the store was not crowded. The staff was very kind and patient.Their nondairy options were limited to three choices at the time, but the staff let me try them all before making a decision. My friends and I loved all our flavors, the ice cream itself was smooth and rich.We will definitely be back to try the different flavors of the month!
Rating: Excellent.Scale: Bad, Meh, Average, Good, Excellent Comments: Top tier ice cream. Fun to try the seasonal offerings. Expensive ? Yes. Excellent? Yes. Worth it. Suggestions: bring back the fennel (permanently)
