We had a table of six and arrived at 6 PM. The restaurant was extremely warm, and there was barely enough air conditioning to cool it down. There were fans scattered everywhere, yet no one mentioned that the air conditioning was broken when we asked if they could turn it down. Instead, they just brought a fan to our table. We all ordered drinks and appetizers, and some of us got soup. When it was time to serve one woman's soup after our appetizers, she asked if she could cancel it since she was feeling unwell due to the heat. The owner instructed the waitress to inform her that she would still be charged! What?! She asked to speak with him, but he refused to come to our table—no apology for the heat or anything! We were trying to make the best of the situation, but another woman couldn't even finish her dinner and asked for a box to take it home because she didn't feel well enough to eat. We had planned to order desserts but decided there was no way we could stay any longer. Interestingly, the bathroom was cooler than the restaurant itself! We were also celebrating an event and enjoying ourselves, but apparently, one patron was upset by our laughter. I saw her tell her husband that we needed to "shut the F up." I apologized for the noise, and when she asked if I heard her, I responded that I had. Ironically, the rest of the restaurant then became extremely loud! It’s just how things happen, but the atmosphere felt stuffy, much like the air in the place. It's unfortunate that the owner was too stingy to turn on the air conditioning or recognize that he was losing significantly more by charging my friend for a soup she couldn't eat due to the heat. It's really disappointing. There are plenty of other restaurants where the owners actually care about their patrons and go out of their way to accommodate them. Our requests were not unreasonable. To top it off, the poor waitress felt so bad about the situation that she paid for my friend's meal herself. We all tipped her very generously because this was in no way her fault. Don't waste your money at a place with such an awful owner.
