**Dining Experience at CoLab Kitchen: A Mixed Bag**

CoLab Kitchen has emerged as a family-friendly venue with a lively atmosphere, featuring an outdoor play area and live music that enhance the dining experience. While many dishes receive praise for their creativity and taste, there are notable inconsistencies. Confusing menu choices, service delays, and occasional dish shortcomings, such as the overly spiced smoked pork chop and the bland fish special, have left some diners disappointed. Despite these issues, the inventive cocktails and standout offerings like the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake keep customers returning, contributing to a vibrant community feel that is hard to resist.

We didn't get the table we requested, which was at the bartop outside. The waitress was friendly, but it took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive. After finishing our meal, we waited for over 20 minutes for our table to be cleared while we waited for the check. It took another 20 minutes to locate the manager to process our payment. On a positive note, the music was fantastic; Chris Jumper was the perfect fit for the venue.

I then asked another employee if everything was alright, and she informed me that they would be opening shortly. The worker with the tablet returned, speaking to the couple behind us. They appeared to have no reservation but were told they could sit inside. She then seated them before coming back to us. There was no smile, no apology, and no explanation—just a lack of acknowledgment that we had to wait until 10:30 to be seated. Meanwhile, customers at the bar were served. Despite this strange start, our waitress provided excellent service. We enjoyed the deviled eggs, which were fantastic, especially with the pickled garnishes. A few other dishes were good as well, but the brisket sandwich was tough, which was disappointing for a place known for smoked meats. Overall, the outdoor ambiance was amazing with live music, and most of our food was delicious. However, I’m not sure we would return.

We celebrated a birthday and had requested a table for six, but it was not available. Although it was quite loud outside, we ended up with a table for eight. The service was excellent, and both the food and drinks were fantastic.

Fantastic southern food and very nice place. Both the service and ambiance were fabulous. First time here and I will repeat.

Small but amazing menu. Something for everyone (one of us is a vegetarian) and nice selections of wine by the glass (no bottles) and imaginative delicious cocktails! We started with the hummus which was light and lemony, 2 had the brisket, one has ribs, and one has the grilled. cauliflower and mushroom Sides are delicious our group of 4 had the tomato salad, creamed corn, sweet potato casserole, and green beans. The peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake is out of this world. Our server was fabulous too!

This is an ideal spot for families with young children, featuring a wonderful outdoor play area. The food was tasty, but I was disappointed that we couldn't make any modifications. Our waiter appeared stressed and too busy to provide us with the best service possible.

We had another amazing meal! The Caesar salad was excellent, and the fish special was fantastic. The tacos were fabulous! Melissa offered outstanding service. Thank you; we will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I often visit Colab Kitchen because the food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and comfortable with a fun vibe. We've always enjoyed friendly service from the waitstaff, but our most recent experience was different. Our waitress seemed unhappy, annoyed by our presence, and not particularly enthusiastic about answering our questions. While this was a one-time issue and won't deter us from returning, it did put a bit of a damper on our enjoyable night out.

Fantastic place fun, great food, excellent service. But it's a bit too loud due to all the hard surfaces. I'll still go back but my husband had a hard time hearing our conversation with friends.

Very disappointed with our visit to Colab Kitchen. The establishment shows brunch hours until 3 o’clock on Sundays. Booked a table for four for 3 o’clock yesterday. Was informed via email our reservation was changed to 2:45. Was not an issue for our party. We arrived promptly at 2:45 and was immediately told by the hostess and then by our waitress we would need to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. At this point we should have found another establishment for brunch. We have eaten and enjoyed Colab on several previous visits. Yesterday was a Horror! The grilled cheese and tomato soup combination was horrible. The tomato soup tasted like spaghetti sauce. I ordered the omelette. On the menu it says it comes with bacon and I guess in their rush they forgot the bacon and I they call a few fried onions and shredded potato strands a pancake. Asked about dessert and was told the bakery was closed.Asked if she check and lo and behold we were able to order a couple slices of pie.Really sorry I have to cross them off of dining places we frequent
