Welcome to The Woolpack Inn, a cherished establishment nestled in the picturesque Slad Valley. With over 300 years of history, our pub radiates the warmth of a hidden gem, enchanting guests with its cozy fireside tavern, inviting dining room, snug areas, and lovely vine-covered terraces. Here, you can indulge in delightful bar food and savor a selection of fine ales, craft beers, and ciders, all day, every day. We're open Sunday to Monday from 12pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Thursday until 11pm, and Friday to Saturday until midnight. Whether you're joining us for lunch or dinner, we offer a welcoming atmosphere for all. Lunch is served Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 2.30pm and on Sunday from 12pm to 3.30pm. Dinner is available Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to 9pm and Sunday from 6pm to 8.30pm. Please note that our main bar is for guests aged 14 and above. Our eatery is not just a place for good food and drink; it's also a hub for community gatherings and events. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant where I enjoyed a delightful meal that included Cornish sole, perfectly fried sardines, and a decadent chocolate mousse for dessert. Each dish was prepared with care and truly showcased the flavors beautifully.
I celebrated my 21st birthday with a Sunday roast, and it was amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. You can't find many historic village pubs better than the Woolpack in Slad. Rating: Food - 5, Service - 5, Atmosphere - 5.
