Passing through and stopped for breakfast. Cozy atmosphere, clean, staff was extremely friendly, service was quick, delicious and healthy portions of home-cooked food, cheap and best of all....locally owned. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite and your in the area, your only cheating yourself if you don't stop at Allegheny Sandwich Shoppe.

Had a wonderful breakfast sandwich, the home fries were delicious. Nick and his staff do a wonderful job, got to meet Helen and she is a pure delight and the atmosphere is fantastic.

I paid $11 for two fish tacos with two very tiny piece of fish and a lot of lettuce went away hungry and disappointed I will not be back. I usually go there two to three times a week and should not be treated this way. I can go to Kuhn’s market and get a giant one pound of fish for $7.99 and a hoagie bun.

The service is impeccable! Nick and his crew are the best. And the omelets are exquisite. Be sure you say hello to Helen while you 're there.

Stopped in before a Pitt game simply because it was across the street from the lot we parked in. We were extremely delighted with the food we got there. I had the hot Sicilian salad it was awesome in fact I told the people I was with it was the best salad I ever ate. Others had breakfast and sandwiches all were extremely pleased. This place is friendly, efficient and affordable. I will definitely make this our pregame Pitt stop. It beats the overpriced just another customer spots near the stadium.
