Jumping off the boat it's the first restaurant you see... as the kids were hungry we didn't hesitate seeing the stone pizza oven. We sat on the open terrace and were fastly served: very very nice pizza with very crispy thin dough (brilliant idea: coarse salt underneath the dough! and fresh toppings. Good panna cotta also! Good price for quality, atmosphere more like a cafeteria but good views. Recommended! View all feedback.
What roedgroedmedfloede doesn't like about Magnolia:
Been there a few times and the British waitress makes an effort to make your stay at the restaurant as unpleasant as possible, every time. We were fans of the place as the view is amazing but enough is enough and the grumpy waitress has put an end to an otherwise good family tradition. We will not be coming back View all feedback.
After looking around the island, my friend and I were looking for a place to eat. We came across this place, looked at the menu on the front and entered. We went inside only to be escorted out by a rude waitress, saying we can't sit inside because those tables are only for 4 people, not 2. There were no other available tables (for two) and she pointed us to the table in the corner, near the bathroom, surrounded by the absolutely horrible bathroom smell. Table had no tablecloth and was wet and dirty (she did not clean it at any point). We waited for 10 minutes, still nobody took our order. Later came the waitress taking drink order which we did not want, and we started telling her about our meal order. She said she can not take it and left. We were left waiting for some time again and after asking several times, finally another waitress came. My friend and I wanted one pizza split in half, but of course, we did not get it. Waitress said it's lunch time and she can not serve us with only one pizza. She was extremely arrogant and unpolite. I stood up, my friend followed and we left. We had no time to waste because we had a schedule and a boat waiting, later going on a long way back home. WORST SERVICE EVER!! ACTUALLY, THERE WAS NO SERVICE! Isola Bella is such a beautiful place, and this kind of restaurants and people are ruining it. Later in the day, we found out that a several people (from our tour group) also left the restaurant because they were left waiting too long with no service what so ever!

Have to wait more than 40 min for a table, lamentable service, rude manners, VERY SMALL PORTIONS! You will be hunger after eat there, but the worst of all is the attention to the public. Places like this must be closed in such a turístico place... shame of you!

Located just a short walk from the ferry landing in the opposite direction of the palace is this great little ristorante. We shared a fresh oven-baked ham and cheese pizza and a lovely bottle of wine, overlooking the lake and private boat departures. Two beautiful swans and a ton of sparrows made up the wildlife that enhance our lakeside dining! Price was very reasonable, service was friendly and prompt and it was a perfect spot before heading to the next island!
