Saw the long waiting line and decided to stop by checking it out. End up with a bag of pies for the entire road trip. It was worth the wait. The Philly steak and ham and cheese were a little salty but the sweet pies were perfect. Not very sweet. Gotta have these again next time from Payson to Winslow.
Oh my this place is absolutely fantastic! We were there on a road trip, stopping right when it opened. The ladies working were fantastic and so funny, singing along to Eminem on the speakers! The empanadas though: I had the vegetarian breakfast one and the bean one. OMG. They were delicious!! I highly recommend stopping in to check it out. Such a great experience.
My nephew told us about this place. My parents, sister, and I took a road trip this weekend from Mesa and decided to try it.The savory empanadas were very satisfying and the sweet ones perfect... not too sugary.Service was quick and friendly. Constant stream of customers while we were there.
The mountain man is amazing! Every dessert we have tried has also been so good! The flavors are delicious and they combo everything perfectly!
I am half hearted with my experience at this place. A coworker recommended this place. They have a wide selection of empanadas and pies. I find their chimichurri, too salty. My son found a strand of hair in his ham and cheese empanada. Which grossed me out, so much! Although they gave him a new one, I kinda question the quality and standard of their food preparation. The girl at the counter doesn't seem to enjoy her job and is not very accommodating. No dining area, only outside seating. Empanada is close to $5 a piece. I'm not a huge fan.
